PSX announces amendments to Listing of Companies and Securities Regulations

Pakistan Stock Exchange issued a notification on its website, informing all listed companies and concerned that the PSX, in exercise of powers conferred u/s 7 of Securities Act of 2015, has made the following amendments to Chapter 5 [listing of Companies and Securities Regulations] of PSX regulations  with the approval Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP):

1. Removal of Code of Corporate Governance provisions from PSX Regulations pursuant to promulgation of Listed Companies (Code of Corporate Governance) Regulations, 2017;
2. Exclusion of Open-End Mutual Funds listed at PSX from the requirements of Closure of Share Transfer Books as per 5.5.14 and Closed Period as per clause 5.6.1(d)  of PSX Regulations applicable on listed companies;
3. Inclusion of additional areas in the description of price-sensitive information to be disclosed by the listed companies to the SECP and PSX as per 5.6.1(a) of PSX Regulations; and
4. Changes in initial and annual listing fees applicable on listed companies as per clause 5.1.8[listing and annual fees] of PSX Regulations.

It may be noted that all the approved amendments relating to point (a), (b) and (c) above have taken effect from June 07, 2018 and the amendments relating to point (d) shall take effect from July 01, 2018
