PMEX Commodity Index slips by 33 points

May 28, 2020: On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index inched lower by 55 points and closed at 4,050. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.937 billion and the number of lots traded was 10,729.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 3.445 billion, followed by Currencies through COTS (PKR 1.361 billion), NSDQ 100 (PKR 569.349 million), Silver (PKR 511.682 million), Crude Oil (PKR 358.386 million), Platinum (PKR 209.725 million), SP500 (PKR 209.598 million), DJ (PKR 174.374 million), Natural Gas (PKR 91.228 million) and Copper (PKR 6.894 million).

In agriculture commodities, 2 lots Wheat amounting to PKR 8.112 million and 5 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 2.340 million were traded.
