April 16, 2021 (MLN): Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed today's trading session relatively unchanged against the USD with the rate remained stable at PKR 152.82
The rupee traded within a very narrow range of 11 paisa per USD showing an intraday high bid of 152.81 and an intraday Low offer of 152.78.
During the week, the currency has gained 13 paisa against the greenback, as the previous week was concluded at PKR 152.94 per USD.
Within the Open Market, PKR was traded at 152.50/153.30 per USD.
Meanwhile, the currency gained 77 paisa against the Pound Sterling as the day's closing quote stood at PKR 209.95 per GBP, while the previous session closed at PKR 210.72 per GBP.
Similarly, PKR's value strengthened by 16 paisa against EUR which closed at PKR 182.88 at the interbank today.
On another note, within the money market, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) conducted an Open Market Operation in which it injected Rs.1975.05 billion for 7 days at 7.04 percent.
The overnight repo rate towards the close of the session was 7.10/7.20 percent, whereas the 1-week rate was 7.03/7.05 percent.
