PKR depreciates by 32 paisa at interbank trade

June 08, 2020 (MLN): Pakistani rupee (PKR) depreciated by 32 paisa against US Dollar (USD) in today's interbank session as the currency closed the day's trade at PKR 163.62 per USD, against last session's closing of PKR 163.3 per USD.

The rupee endured a relatively dull trading session with very little intraday movement, trading in a range of 29 paisa per USD showing an intraday high bid of 163.60 and an intraday Low offer of 163.40.

Within the Open Market, PKR was traded at 162.50/164.00 per USD.

Meanwhile, the currency lost 93 paisa to the Pound Sterling as the day's closing quote stood at PKR 207.63 per GBP, while the previous session closed at PKR 206.71 per GBP.

On the other hand, PKR's value strengthened by 49 paisa against EUR which closed at PKR 184.97 at the interbank today.

On another note, within the money market, the overnight repo rate towards close of the session was 8.00/8.10 percent, whereas the 1 week rate was 8.00/8.10 percent.
