Petroleum Products Prices Increased from June 12, 2018

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance on Monday, the prices of petroleum products have been revised with effect from from June 12.  

  • Petrol price increased by 4.9 % or Rs 4.26 to Rs 91.96 per liter
  • Diesel up by 6.6% or Rs 6.55 to Rs 105.31 liter
  • Kerosene price up by 5.6% or Rs 4.46 to Rs 84.34 per liter
  • Light diesel up 8.9% or by Rs 6.14 to Rs 74.99 per liter

The previous government had decided to maintain the May-2018 prices till June 7, leaving the decision about POL prices revision for the caretaker government.

“To provide relief to the common man in the holy month of Ramadan, the caretaker government has decided to pass only a partial impact of increase and the government will absorb 50 percent of impact of the increase effective from June 12,”  the notification added.
