PBS alters inflation figures for October to 6.78 percent

November 14, 2018 (MLN): The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has re-adjusted the inflation numbers for the month of October, to 6.78%.

Previously, PBS announced inflation for the month to be at 7%, while that for September 2018 stands at 5.1% and for October 2017 stands at 3.8%.

The establishment had incorporated the 104.9% increase in gas prices, in the previously quoted inflation figures.

On a month on month basis, the gas prices have now been reduced to 85.3%.

Meanwhile, core inflation remains at 8.2 %
