September 01, 2020 (MLN): Pakistan's Yearly Inflation Rate (New Base 2015-16) in August 2020 was 8.21 percent compared to 9.30 percent in July 2020 and 10.50 percent in August 2019.

The July-August average inflation is 8.75 percent compared to 9.45 percent from the corresponding period last year.

Market Expectation of Inflation for August was between 8.76 % and 8.15% with the average estimate of 8.40%.

On a monthly basis, CPI increased by 0.63 percent in August compared to an increase of 2.50 percent in July.

Market expectation of Monthly change was between 1.13% and -0.74% with the average estimate at 0.53%.
