Pakistan’s Forex Reserves increase by nearly 5%

March 21, 2019 (MLN): Pakistan’s forex reserves increased by USD 743.7 million as the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at USD 15.7 billion on Mar 15, 2019.

During the week, SBP received inflow of USD 1 billion from UAE as placement of funds. After taking into account outflows relating to external debt and other official payments – a sum of USD 300 million, SBP reserves increased by USD 716 million during the week.

Meanwhile those held by commercial bank’s increased by USD 27.9 million.
