Pakistan’s foreign reserves increase by $46.3 million

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the country’s foreign reserves have increased by $46.3 million in the week ending on July 20, 2018.

Total liquid foreign reserves stood at $15,728.8 million compared to $15,682.5 million in the week before ending on July 13, 2018.

Foreign reserve held by the State Bank of Pakistan decreased by $53 million to reach $9,011 million compared to $9,063 million in the week before.  As per SBP, this decline is a result of payments on account of external debt servicing.

Foreign reserves held by commercial banks, on the other hand, rose by $99.2 million to reach $6,718.1 million, compared to $6,618.9 in the week ending on July 13, 2018.
