Pakistan, Uzbekistan agree to promote bilateral cooperation

June 28, 2021: Pakistan and Uzbekistan have agreed to promote their bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest including trade, economy and culture.

The understanding to this effect was reached during a meeting of a delegation of Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Governor of Namangan Province Inomov Oqibjon and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar in Lahore on Saturday.

The Uzbek delegation appreciated the steps taken by the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan for facilitating the foreign investors.

Speaking on this occasion, the Punjab Governor said that the Mazar-e-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar Railway Corridor is a historic project which will help improve regional trade and connectivity.

On the occasion, the Deputy Governor of Namangan Province of Uzbekistan, Inomov Oqibjon said that his government is fully cooperating with Pakistan in various sectors including the health sector.
