April 22, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan will continue to enhance cooperation with Rwanda within the framework of regional and international organizations.

This was stated by Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif during a meeting with H.E. Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe, Ambassador of Rwanda, in Islamabad today.

Defence Minister welcomed the visiting dignitary and exclaimed that Pakistan greatly values the friendly relations with Rwanda, as per the press release issued.

The Minister said that Pakistan and Rwanda shared the same resolve for world peace, with both countries in the top five of troop-contributing countries in UN peacekeeping.

The visiting dignitary lauded Pakistan’s contribution in finding a solution to conflicts on the African continent while currently being a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.

Both sides agreed to work together in many sectors such as trade, investment, education, and defence.
