Pakistan, Iran sign MoU to establish border markets

April 22, 2021: Pakistan and Iran have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish six trade centers at their border areas.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif signed the MoU.

These six border trade centers will be set up on the border of Pakistan's Balochistan province and Iran's Sistan-Baluchestan.

Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that establishment of trade centers on Pak-Iran border will be equally beneficial for both countries and will improve the economic condition of people living in the border areas.
