Pak Suzuki rises car prices by up to Rs355,000

PSMC pledges to safeguard minority shareholders amidst tough times

January 25, 2023 (MLN): The Pak Suzuki Company Limited (PSMC) has increased the retail sales prices of Suzuki automobile vehicles prices by up to Rs355,000, a notification issued by the company revealed.

The increase in the sales price of cars is owing to a shortage of inventory level, dollar scarcity, and economic uncertainties in the country.

The company increased the prices of Alto VX from Rs1.699 million to Rs1.859mn, a jump of Rs160,000.

Similarly, the price of the Alto VXR variant jumped by Rs 180,000 and it is now available at Rs2.156mn.

The next one is Alto VXR AGS, and Alto AGS, prices surged by Rs190,000 and Rs200,000, their new price is Rs2.310mn and Rs2.423mn, respectively.

Then comes, the Wagon R VXR, and after the latest increase of Rs208,000, the new rate of the car is Rs2.629mn against the last rate of Rs2.421mn.

Wagon R VXL, and Wagon R AGS, saw a hike of Rs225,000, and Rs257,000 taking the price to Rs2.789mn and Rs3.059mn, compared to the previous rate of Rs2.564mn, and Rs2.802mn.

The price of Cultus VXR has seen an upward revision as it surged to Rs3.039mn. The new prices of other variants, Cultus VXL and Cultus AGS have gone up to Rs3.339mn and Rs3.569mn respectively. 

Swift GL MT and Swift GL CVT have seen a price surge to Rs3.479mn and Rs3.742mn respectively.

Swift GLX CVT, saw a jump of Rs355,000, taking the price to Rs4.115mn against the old rate of Rs3.760mn.

The new price of Ravi and Ravi w/o Deck now stands at Rs1.539mn and Rs1.464mn against the old rate of Rs1.424mn and Rs1.349mn, respectively. Furthermore, the price of Bolan Van has risen to Rs1.619mn.

Meanwhile, the price of Bolan Cargo has increased by Rs119,000 to Rs1.606mn.

The new revised retail prices will be applicable on all new orders booked from January 25, 2023.

The revised retail prices are inclusive of FED and sales tax and Exclusive of advance income tax, the notification read.

Earlier, Pak Suzuki announced back to back shut down of company's production plant due to shortage of imported raw material.

Further company added that the governments restrictions had adversely impacted clearance of import consignment which resultantly affected the inventory levels.
