Pak Suzuki increases prices by Rs40,000

November 1, 2018 (MLN): Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited (PSMCL) has increased the prices of its various car models by Rs 40,000. The decision shall take effect from Thursday 1st November.

The prices of WagonR-VXR and -VXL have been increased to Rs 1.184 million and Rs 1.274 million respectively.

Moreover, the prices of Swift-DLX and -AT after the hike are Rs1.515 million and Rs 1.651 million respectively.

Likewise, the prices of Suzuki Cultus-VXR, -VXL and -AGS have been decided at Rs 1.380 million, Rs 1.501 million and Rs 1.608 million respectively.

Due to rising cost of imported materials resulting from rupee devaluation against the dollar, N. J. Auto Industries has also increased the prices of its 70-250cc bikes by Rs 2,000-5,000 w.e.f. Monday 5th November.

According to a report of Competition Commission of Pakistan, Indus Motor Company (IMC) has achieved 60% localisation in Toyota Corolla followed by 68% localisation in Honda City and 75% in Suzuki Mehran.

So far, consumers have witnessed around four to five times price hike in cars and motorcycles in the current year.
