May 3, 2021 (MLN): Octopus Digital, an AVANCEON’s subsidiary company, and HUB Power- a subsidiary of HUBCO have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a digital transformation partnership.
The signing ceremony took place at the office of Octopus Digital, 19KM Main Multan Road Lahore, Pakistan.
The aim of this MoU is to bring a digital transformation in the energy sector in order to provide competitive and valued services.
While expressing his views, Mr. Tahir Javaid, CEO Hub Power Company said that digitalization is considered a game-changer for businesses in today’s era. No one can deny the importance of digital transformation to remain competitive and provide the best value to its customers/stakeholders. Hence, it is the integration that allows digital technology to be adopted by all areas of business from manufacturing to delivering the final product/ service.
‘Being the first and largest Independent Power Producer (IPP) in Pakistan, our aim is to enhance the operational excellence further to become a strategic asset for the industry and provide value to our customers/stakeholders. Given the state-of-the-art infrastructure i.e, power plants we are continuously working to promote sustainable development and uplift the quality of services align with global standards’, Tahir Javaid said.
‘Following this vision, we are honored to have the expertise of Octopus Digital on board and sign this MoU. I hope we will successfully continue collaborating with Octopus Digital to make necessary digital transformation to capture more markets while providing high-end services, he added.
On this occasion, Bakhtiar Hameed Wain, CEO Avenceon was delightfully stated, ‘this new partnership is very dear to us as we at Octopus Digital are excited and thrilled to work with Pakistan’s largest IPP Hub Power. This MoU will allow us to invest our expertise into the digital transformation of the energy sector of Pakistan.’

A representative from Octopus Digital explained that initially both parties will work on the existing markets and make Hub power, a data-driven entity. Furthermore, training of the existing staff and onboarding of team with required expertise are also planned to be included in the initial phase of the deal.
