NEPRA approves Rs 2.86 per unit positive FCA for March

May 06, 2022: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Friday approved Rs 2.868 per unit positive fuel cost adjustment (FCA), having impact of Rs 29 billion for March for XWAPDA power distribution companies.

The FCA shall be charged in the billing month of May 2022 to all consumer categories of XWDISCOs, except life line consumers, said a notification.

This FCA would remain applicable only for one month. However it would not be applicable to KE consumers.

The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA-G) had requested positive FCA of Rs.3.1574/kWh, having impact of Rs.32 billion.

However, the Authority has approved positive FCA of Rs.2.8680/kWh, having impact of around Rs.29 billion.
