May 29, 2019: A meeting of the National Economic Council chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan is in progress in Islamabad.

It is discussing the federal development budget for the next fiscal year.

Adviser on Finance Hafeez Sheikh, Planning Minister Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razaq Dawood, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar, the Chief Ministers of the four provinces and Gilgit Baltistan and the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir are attending the meeting.
