NBP account holders asked to ensure biometric verification

January 7, 2018: The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has directed its account holders to ensure biometric verification as the bank has started doing verification for all its users (Personal Accounts as well as authorized signatories of corporate and commercial entities, under the directives of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

“To ensure safe and secure banking to all our customers, the customers are requested to approach any nearest NBP branch to get bio-metric verification done for their respective accounts”, according to a statement issued by the NBP. 

In case of failure to perform biometric verification within provided time lines, NBP reserves the right to block account operations.
