MoIT accelerates pace of work in other Ministries, departments

Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication through National Information Technology Board (NITB) have successfully developed e-office Application Suite for accelerating the pace of work and then better maintenance of record.”

Ministry has earned a remarkable distinction by making the “E Suite including e-Filing System“ functional end to end, making it the first Government Ministry amongst SAARC countries where it is fully implemented.

A spokesperson of ministry said while talking to APP, Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication has started using order modules of E.Office suite and Ministry of commerce, Establishment division and ministry of Foreign Affairs have started Inter departmental Communication/file movement through E-Offlce.

He said, Intra Government Fiber connectivity has established over 72 kms for secure, dedicated and 24/7 e-Communication amongst Federal Ministries/Divisions.

The project is rolling out in more than 25 Ministries and Division. About 12 Ministries/Divisions have cut-over to e-Office suite and more than 7000 Federal Government employees have been trained on e-Office Application, he added.

The e-office application is provisioned and hosted free of cost for all organizations of the GoP. It is the responsibility of NITB to ensure the maintenance and availability of e-Offrce application in collaboration with National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC).

Provision of the local IT infrastructure for end users is the core responsibility of the beneficiary organization.

Online Recruitment System has been deployed to enable online management of applications for the positions advertised by Public Sector Recruitment Body and Health Management Information System has been put in place in Public Hospitals – APP
