LSM expands by 36.8% YoY in May’21

July 14, 2021 (MLN): The overall output of LSMI increased by 14.57% for July-May 2020-21 compared to the same period last year.

According to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the LSMI output increased by 36.84% for May 2021 compared to the same month last year, while it decreased by 3.93% if compared to April 2021.

The production in July-May2020-21 as compared to July-May2019-20 has increased in Textile, Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Coke & Petroleum Products, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Non-Metallic Mineral Products, Automobiles, Iron & Steel Products, and Fertilizers while it decreased in Electronics, Leather Products, and Rubber Products.
