The index closed the day on a bearish yet again today after trading in the red for the most of the session today. Furthermore, index was flushed with refinery and oil sector results throughout the day.

MARI Petroleum reported bottom-line profits up by more than 71 percent during the period to reach 10.784 billion up from 6.306 billion during the same period last year, in line with the street expectations.

OGDC -4.54 percent fell during the session after news of some investors looking to sell shares worth Rs. 5.58 billion in the company.

MUGHAL scrip wen down by -0.26 percent after reporting a expected delay in completion of BMR of existing Re-Rolling Mills.

Volume traded at KSE – 100 index decreased by 35.10 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 68.244 million versus 105.155 million Friday.

Oil & Gas Exploration, Cement, and Fertilizer scrips during today’s session were at the bottom after collectively taking away more than 240.98 points.

Sector-wise all share index top ten sector turnover was led by Chemical (23.613 million), Cement (14.577 million), and Food & Personal Care Products (12.51 million) with Engineering (4.637 million) and Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (4.598 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.

KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of 389.62 points down 0.85 percent, closing in at 45682.24 points with index high – low range of 46095.83 – 45610.22.

KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 144.229 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 6.687 billion.
