KSE – 100 index remained under pressure after closing -325 points at the day end. Refineries stocks were in the limelight today. BYCO closed in positive note due to a news that the Government is lifting its ban on furnace oil import and may also ask some of its lift stocks from local refineries.

Furthermore, the TPL stocks closed on the upper limit after Sindh Government announced that it has decided to make installation of trackers on bike compulsory.

Sector-wise all share index turnover was led by Power Generation & Distribution (13.85 million), Technology & Communication (12.86 million), and Refinery (11.86 million) with Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (3.86 million) and Cement (3.78 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.

KSE-100 Index at the day end moved a total of -325.67 points down by 0.80%, closing in at 40266.21 points.

Index Volume was at 43.65 million shares, value of shares traded reached PKR 4.44 billion with index high-low range of 40712.65 – 40136.86.

The index movement was limited within the 575.79 points range.

22 companies closed up, whereas 65 were down at the day end.
