KSE – 100 succumbed to losses yet again today as a consequential effect of the budget. The budget observes, despite numerous plus points in the coming budget, do not see these measures to continue during the upcoming government’s tenure.
Investors were on the defensive and continue to remain in that corner, observing the market with as spectators as they remain unsure about the budget measures to remain in place after the current government’s tenure expires.
Volume traded at KSE – 100 index decreased by 57.94 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 65.541 million versus 155.844 million yesterday.
Commercial Banks, Tobacco, and Oil & Gas Marketing Companies scrips during today’s session were at the bottom today after collectively taking away more than 146.47 points.
Sector-wise all share index top ten sector turnover was led by Commercial Banks (29726 million), Chemical (21.315 million), and Vanaspati (8.581 million) with Food & Personal Care (5.140 million) and Fertilizer (3.858 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.
KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of 292.49 points down 0.64 percent, closing in at 45196.37 points with index high – low range of 45488.86 – 45160.64.
KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 130.648 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 5.180 billion.
