KSE-100 Index gains over 482 points on SLA hopes

Intraday Report: KSE-100 inches closer to all-time high

March 13, 2023 (MLN): Pakistan equities extended the gaining momentum on the hopes of the IMF's Staff Level Agreement (SLA) which is going to be signed within a day or two as the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained over 482 points. The index is currently trading at 42,276.04 [PST: 10:27 am].

According to the sources, IMF has asked the government to give a specific timeline for circular debt payments.

Memorandum of Economic and Financial Policies (MEFP) will likely have quarterly targets for circular debt.

Investors cheered the above news flows and it seems that these impact full news subdued the impact of the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank which made things worst for global equities. 

Oil and gas exploration companies, commercial banks, and fertilizers have witnessed higher buying activity as they have gained around 191, 45, and 36, points respectively.

Company-wise, the scrips of MARI, ABOT, POL, and COLG have enjoyed the maximum gains.
