KSE – 100 closed the session today on a positive note gaining 31 points. Index session in the early trading took a fall, but recovered back again during second half as index went up by 95 points. Pakistan’s Stock Market has been crippled by the political uncertainty and weak economic fundamentals throughout the current year.
Oil & Gas Exploration Cos, Tobacco, and Technology & Communication lent most support to today’s session, adding more than 100 points. However, Oil & Gas Marketing Cos, Refinery and Power Gen and Dist: Stocks took their toll and pulled the index to close in on +31.09 points.
Sector-wise all share index turnover was led by Technology & Communication (27.73 million), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (16.15 million), and Textile Composite (14.27 million) stocks, and with Fertilizer (4.53 million) and Inv. Banks/Inv. Cos./Securities Cos. (3.13 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.
KSE-100 Index at the day end moved a total of +31.09 points up by 0.08%, closing in at 40844.40 points. Index Volume was at 58.01 million shares, value of shares traded was PKR 4.66 billion with index high-low range of 40910.17 – 40637.15.
The index movement was limited within the 273.02 points range.
93 companies closed up, whereas 44 were down at the day end.
