KSE – 100 Index today despite starting the day on a positive couldn’t manage to sustain the momentum as it closed down more than 246 points at day end. The index, however, saw more than 58 percent incline in volume traded.
However, on the macro front, National Assemble today passed the Finance Bill, Supplementary Budget and the Tax Amnesty 2018 presented by Finance Minister Miftah Ismail yesterday.
Volume traded at KSE – 100 index increased by 58.91 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 53.084 million versus 33.403 million yesterday.
Cement, Fertilizer, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies and Power Generation & Distribution stock were the top losers through the day after collectively losing more than 173.88 points.
Sector-wise all share index top sector turnover was led by Cement (11.763 million), Commercial Banks (10.016 million), and Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (9.315 million).
KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of -246.13 points down 0.59 percent, closing in at 41623.52 with index high – low range of 41974.35 – 41458.12.
KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 79.896 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 3.866 billion.
The index moved in the range of 516.23 points.
25 companies closed up, whereas 56 were down at the day end.
