KSE – 100 Index today closed the session in red after losing 158.36 points closing the session at 45718.34 points at the day end. The index closed in red today after two consecutive positive sessions. Trading activity at ready markets was at 180 million compared to previous sessions’ 154 million shares traded.

Market today opened in green but was unable to contain the selling pressure closing the day in red. The index was flooded with results announcements after as quarterly statements poured in on the index announcements. MCB +18pts, HASCOL +15pts, and GLAXO +9pts were top positive stocks at the day. Stocks that took the index downward included HBL -30pts, UBL -21pts, and COLG -17pts.

Volume traded at KSE – 100 index increased by 69.33 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 104.575 million versus 61.758 million yesterday.

Pharmaceuticals, Fertilizer, and Oil & Gas Marketing Companies scrips during today’s session were at the down after collectively taking away more than 43.77 points.

Sector-wise all share index top ten sector turnover was led by Chemical (41.315 million), Cable & Electrical Goods (21.031 million), and Food & Personal Care (14.319 million) with Glass & Ceramics (5.538 million) and Fertilizer (5.355 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.

KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of 157.36 points up 0.35 percent, closing in at 45718.34 points with index high – low range of 45942.10 – 45681.74.

KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 180.596 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 8.760 billion.
