Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark KSE – 100 Index today fell more than 131 points during the day after the International Monetary Fund raised concerns regarding Pakistan’s external front imbalances. The index succumbed to negative sentiment today during the latter half of the day trading in a narrow range during the open.
The technical charts reveal the index to be well supported between 44000 and 43000 points level.
Volume traded increased by 37.5 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 54.223 million versus 39.419 million yesterday.
Sector-wise all share index top ten sector turnover was led by Chemicals (32.040 million), Technology & Communication (27.131 million), and Cable & Electrical Goods (21.652 million) with Automobile Assembler (7.561 million) and Refinery (6.437 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.
KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of 131.86 points down 0.30 percent, closing in at 43363.21 points with index high – low range of 43525.59 – 43311.44.
KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 193.397 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 6.699 billion.
