KSE 100 index ended yet another session on a positive note, after climbing 288 points to reach 39,875 points at closing today, witnessing an increase of about 0.73%. The highest point for the day was recorded at 39,916 points while it touched a low of 39,236 points, having moved between the range of 680 points.
59 million shares were traded by the end of the session at KSE 100 today, a decline from the 72.4 million shares traded during yesterday’s session.
The best performing sectors of the day were Fertilizer and Commercial Banks after they contributed a total of 227.21 points to the index. On the other hand, Tobacco and Oil & Gas Exploration Companies remained worst performers of the day, after collectively taking away 35.67 points from the index today.
57 companies ended the day in positive, while 30 companies were negative by the end of the day in the KSE – 100 index.
The broader, KSE All Share index closed in at 29,050 points, having taken a leap of 84 points on the upside or of about 0.29%. The high for the day reached 29,059 points while the low was recorded at 28,752 points. Volume of 108.8 million shares was traded during, at a value of PKR 4.8 billion.
Commercial Banks led the sector turnover with a traded volume of 17 million shares, followed by Cement Sector with a traded volume of 12.9 million shares by the end of session.
A total of 164 companies closed in the green whereas 120 companies ended the day in the negative within KSE All Share
