IRSA releases 88,567 cusecs water

February 15, 2022: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Tuesday released 88,567 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 41,648 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,419.31 feet, which was 27.31 feet higher than its dead level 1392 feet.

Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 16,800 and 59,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,145.60 feet, which was 95.06 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water were recorded 9,813 and 14,532 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 67,016, 47,794 and 30,005 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River, a total of 4,600 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 10,435 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
