IRSA releases 61,862 cusecs water

December 23, 2021: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Thursday released 61,862 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 36,246 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,428.72 feet, which was 36.72 feet higher than its dead level 1,392 feet.

Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 19,800 and 35,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,119.65 feet, which was 69.65 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded a 7,584 and 18,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 33,752, 36,799, and 22,775 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 3,100 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 5,762 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
