IRSA releases 36,494 cusecs water

January 07, 2022: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Friday released 36,494 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 57,850 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,434.81 feet, which was 42.81 feet higher than its dead level of 1,392 feet.

Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 17,800 and 5,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,122.65 feet, which was 72.65 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded 12,556 and 4,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 16,155, 12,702, and 8,092 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 18,694 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 6,285 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
