IRSA releases 29,209 cusecs water

December 31, 2021:Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Friday released 29,209 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 33,749 cusecs. 

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,430.46 feet, which was 38.46 feet higher than its dead level 1,392 feet. 
Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 16,400 and 15,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1120.10 feet, which was 70.01 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 7,140 and 4,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 15,285, 17,298 and 31,525 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 4,300 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 5,909 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
