IRSA releases 24,111 cusecs water

December 29, 2021: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Wednesday released 24,111 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 32,725 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,430.35 feet, which was 38.35 feet higher than its dead level of 1,392 feet.

Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 16,900 and 10,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,119.65 feet, which was 69.65 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded a 5,714 and 4,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 14,286, 22,184, and 21,515 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 4,200 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 5,911 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
