IRSA releases 213,255 cusecs water

Sep 21, 2021: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Tuesday released 213,255 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 176,782 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1521.83 feet, which was 129.83 feet higher than its dead level of 1,392 feet. Water inflow and outflow in the dam were recorded at 105,400 and 130,000 cusecs respectively. The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1189.90 feet, which was 139.9 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water were recorded at 18127 and 30,000 cusecs respectively. The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded at 162,885, 137684, and 78,010 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River, a total of 16,200 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 37,055 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
