IRSA releases 203,090 cusecs water

Sep 22, 2021: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Wednesday released 203,090 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 174,993 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1520.95 feet, which was 137.78 feet higher than its dead level 128.95 feet. Water inflow and outflow in the dam were recorded as 102,500 and 125,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1189.70 feet, which was 139.7 feet higher than its dead level of 1050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water were recorded as 19,403 and 25,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa, and Sukkur was recorded as 127,922, 137,684, and 78,010 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River, a total of 17,500 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 17,500 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
