IRSA releases 118,226 cusecs water

February 18, 2022: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Friday released 118,226 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 30,352 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,406.96 feet, which was 14.96 feet higher than its dead level of 1,392 feet.

Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 8,600 and 49,800 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,138.00 feet, which was 88.00 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 8,326 and 55,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 64,193 , 53,941 and 28,030 cusecs respectively. Similarly, 3,800 cusecs water was released from the Kabul River at Nowshera, and 9,626 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
