IRSA releases 110,100 cusecs water

April 8, 2019: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Monday released 110,100 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 156,200 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,402.12 feet, which was 16.12 feet higher than its dead level of 1,386 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 33,800 cusecs and outflow as 15,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,119.50 feet, which was 79.50 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 52,200 cusecs and 25,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 60,200 cusecs, 29,700 cusecs and 9,000 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, 44,600 cusecs water was released from the Kabul River at Nowshera and 16,000 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
