Investors remain uncertain during initial hours of the trading session today, with the KSE 100 index having lost 94 points from yesterday’s closing, currently trading at 42,617 points. Intraday high is at 42,940 points currently while the intraday low is at 42,528 points, with the market stretching across a range of 412 points.
Trading activity of up to 557.2 million shares has been witnessed amongst the companies constituting the KSE – 100 Index, at a value worth PKR 3.7 billion. On the other hand, 132.6 million shares have been traded within the companies constituting the KSE All Share Index at a value of PKR 5 billion.
Cement, Chemical and Transport are the best performing sectors at KSE 100 so far while the companies within the Commercial Banking sector are turning out as the worst performers today.
Within KSE All Share, Colgate-Palmolive Pakistan Limited and Bata Pakistan Limited with an increase of Rs.50 each are the net gainers as of now, whereas Siemens Pakistan Engineering Co. having lost Rs.50.9 comes out as the worst loser so far.
D.S Industries Limited is leading the volume at KSE with 16.3 million shares traded up till now.
