Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Thursday said that investors are coming to Pakistan due to the government's prudent policies, and a number of development projects have been initiated.

Addressing a function in Rawalpindi, he said, “The world is recognizing Pakistan as an emerging economy.”

He said, “Gas connections are being given purely on merit. Around two million gas connections have been provided in four years of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government as against 400,000 during the past forty-three years.”

The Minister said, “Power projects with the capacity of 11,000 megawatt were launched during the last four years. Electricity load shedding will be eliminated soon.”

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said, “Investors are coming to Pakistan due to the government's prudent policies, and a number of development projects have been initiated.”

He said, “There will be almost zero gas load-shedding in the country during the next winter.”
