According to sources, the Ministry of Housing has been informed of the land required for the construction of houses, while most of that construction is to happen in the city of Karachi.

Housing is one of the core promises of the newly elected government, who has build the issue on the premises of meeting the shortage of housing within the country, in addition to providing the economy a much needed boost by its impact on the construction sector and up to hundred other allied industries.

The issue of housing is also important for the new government as it helps the government to meet another important promises on its agenda, of creating thousands of jobs for the unemployed.

PTI has on previous occasions, voiced its intention to create a One Window operation for the construction sector, to prevent bureaucrats from taking kick backs and thereby facilitating builders and developers to do business without the presence of such obstacles that have in fact plagued the nation’s institutions.
