March 10, 2021: An agreement was signed in Islamabad yesterday (Tuesday) to digitize the Utility Stores Corporation to monitor the provision of subsidy throughout the country.

The agreement was signed between Pakistan Telecommunication Limited and the USC in the presence of Minister of Industries and Production Muhammad Hammad Azhar and Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal.

Speaking on the occasion, Zubaida Jalal said total sales of the USC are about 100 billion rupees annually and this initiative will further improve performance of the corporation effectively. 

Hammad Azhar said the government is making policies to increase targeted subsidies and to further expand the number of Utility Stores across Pakistan. He said a comprehensive Ramadan Package to facilitate the common people of Pakistan will be approved today.
