Govt keeps petrol, diesel price unchanged

April 01, 2023 (MLN): The federal government on Friday decided to keep the existing prices of MS(Petrol) and High-Speed Diesel unchanged while the prices of Kerosene Oil and Light Diesel Oil have been slashed by Rs10 per litre.

While making an announcement during a televised address for the fortnight prices of petroleum products, the Minister said, the regulatory authorities had advised for an increase in the price of petrol and diesel.

But, after consulting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the ministry decided to maintain the price of petrol and diesel.

Accordingly, per litre petrol, diesel, kerosene oil, and light diesel oil will be available at Rs272, Rs293, Rs180.29, and Rs174.68, respectively.

The new prices came into effect on April 01, 2023, and remain in force until April 15, 2023.
