Govt eyeing 5pc GDP growth in FY22: Hammad Azhar

December 05, 2021 (MLN): Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar said the government is expecting the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) to grow by FY22 due to prudent policies, Radio Pakistan press release showed on Sunday.

In a video statement, he said the government made the national economy stable and a record increase in foreign remittance is being witnessed.

He said Pakistan has dealt with the Covid-19 pandemic in an effective manner and the whole world is acknowledging the policy decisions taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan in tackling the epidemic.

Commenting on inflation in the country, Mr. Azhar said the nation is facing this problem due to the rising prices of all items in the international market.

He added that the government will immediately pass on to the people the benefits of reduction in prices in the international market and the general public will feel relief soon.
