Government extends tax filing date to February 28, 2020

January 31, 2020 (MLN):  The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has, in exercise of the powers conferred under section 214A of Income Tax Ordinance 2001, extended the date of filing of income tax returns from the tax year ended 2019 to February 28, 2020.

According to a circular issued by the FBR, the tax authority notified the extention of filing of returns of total income / statement of final taxation for Individuals and Association of Persons as well as for Companies who have paid ninety five percent of admitted tax liability on or before Sep 30, 2019.

The Tax Return filing date has also been extended for Companies for the Tax Year 2019, which were due on December 31 2019 and extended to January 31, 2020 have also been extended.
