Gold witnesses meager decline of Rs100 per tola

December 31, 2021 (MLN): The demand for gold in the domestic bullion market witnessed a meager decline today, as the price of 24-karat gold dipped by Rs100 to close at Rs126,000 per tola, the data revealed by Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association showed today.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold dropped by Rs85 and was traded at Rs108,025 while the 10gm 22k gold was valued at Rs99,023.

On the contrary, the price of 24-karat silver remained stagnant at Rs1,460. Likewise, the price of 10-gram silver stayed flat at Rs1,251.71.

The demand for safe-haven gold in the international market has increased by $17 to $1,820 an ounce. Meanwhile, silver was traded at $23.27 an ounce compared to $22.76 an ounce the day before.
