Gold ticks up by Rs200 to close at Rs109,400

July 7, 2021 (MLN): Gold demand in the domestic bullion market observed a slight increase today as the price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs200 to close the trade at Rs109,400 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also inched up by Rs122 and traded at Rs93,793 while the 10gm 22k gold valued at Rs85,977, as per the data provided by the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.

On the contrary, the price of 24-Karat silver per tola and 10-gram silver remained subdued at Rs1,440 and Rs1,234.56, respectively.

In the international market, demand for safe-haven remained static at $1,808 per ounce primarily due to the cautious behavior of investor as the minutes from the Fed’s latest meeting were awaited.  Meanwhile, the price of silver decreased by $0.19 and was traded at $26.42 per ounce.
