Gold snaps 3-day winning streak, settles moderately lower

July 6, 2021 (MLN): Gold prices in Pakistan’s bullion market made a U-turn on Tuesday to put an end to a 3-day winning streak, settling at Rs109,200 per tola for 24-karat, down by Rs300 from yesterday’s closing.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also went down by Rs258 and traded at Rs93,621 while the 10gm 22k gold valued at Rs85,820, up by Rs765 DoD, data provided by the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association revealed.

On the other hand, price of 24-Karat silver per tola and 10-gram silver remained stationary at Rs1,440 and Rs1,234.56, respectively.

Internationally, the gold prices hit a new high in nearly three weeks, clocking in at $1,808 per ounce, inched up by $16 on the back of positive international cues and subdued dollar. Similarly, Silver was valued at $26.61per ounce, marking an uptick of $0.41 from yesterday’s close, the association reported.
