Gold shoots up by Rs2,850 to Rs112,750 per tola

May 26, 2021 (MLN): The price of 24 karat per tola gold witnessed a sharp increase of Rs2,850 on Wednesday and was traded at Rs112,750 against its sale at Rs109,900.

Similarly, the price of 10 gram 24 karat also surged by Rs2,443 and was traded at Rs96,665 against its sale at Rs94,222 whereas the prices of ten-gram 22 Karat gold jumped to Rs88,610 from Rs86,370, as per data reported by All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association.

At the same time, silver prices observed an increase of Rs20 and stood at Rs1,480 against its sale at Rs1460 on the previous day. While, ten-gram silver inched up by Rs17.15 and was traded at Rs1268.86 against its sale at Rs1251.71, yesterday.

Internationally, the demand for yellow metal faced an upward trajectory of $23 and was traded at $1,907in the backdrop of declining US treasury yields and a comparatively weaker dollar.  While silver was valued at $28.10 an ounce
