Gold rates fall further by Rs1,200 per tola

April 12, 2022 (MLN): The price of 24-karat gold in the domestic bullion market declined further by Rs1,400 per tola to Rs130,000 per tola on Tuesday, the data issued by Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association showed.

Domestic gold price touched all-time high level of 134,300 on April 7, 2022.

As per the data, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also dipped by Rs1,200 and was traded at Rs111,453 while the 10gm 22k gold was valued at Rs102,166 compared to Rs103,266 reported yesterday.

On the other hand, the price of 24-karat and 10-gram silver remained stagnant at Rs1,520 and Rs1,303, respectively, the association reported.

Precious gold in the international increased by $2 and was traded at $1,955 against its sale at $1,953, as appetite for risk weakened ahead of U.S. inflation data that could support the Federal Reserve's aggressive policy stance to contain rising pricing pressures.
